King of the Cage Invades the Philippines

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Rancho Cucamonga, CA (July 18, 2013). On Friday,
July 5th, King of the Cage put on an historic event in Manila to
debut its international expansion into the Philippines. It was an
action packed evening, where 11 of the 12 fights went the
distance.
Undefeated middle weight champion Sean Strickland (USA) defeated Yusuke Sakashita (Japan) in a 5 Round Unanimous Decision. Also, 20 homegrown Philippines’ competed on the card, showing that in this market the “hometown boys” were not going to be intimidated by any international talent.
"The future and talent pool is awfully bright here", stated promoter Mike Low. The show drew a crowd of 8,000 at the latest entertainment and retail architectural icon in the Philippines, the Mall of Asia Arena. The luxurious and premier resort, Solaire Hotel & Casino, stepped up as the presenting sponsor, and the event was broadcast on both GMA TV and Solar Sports (English).
CEO Ray Young, Founder Terry Trebilcock, and CFO Michael Brown were all in attendance and were very excited with what they had seen develop here and the opportunity for the future with the growth of MMA in the Philippines. They also have announced plans on the next KOTC events being held in October of this year. More details to follow.
