Boxing: Unbeaten Prospects Fill Feb. 9 PBC on FS1 Card
Premier Boxing Champions announced Wednesday afternoon that the
next edition of its popular Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays event on Fox Sports
1 will be littered with undefeated young prospects looking to take
the next step in their respective careers.
Alex Martin, Raynell Williams and Jamontay Clark will all climb into the ring to take on solid veterans who should give them each a sturdy test. The PBC on FS1card will take place Feb. 9 at the Sands Bethlehem Events Center in Bethlehem, Penn., with the action being televised live starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
Headlining the card will be 2012 U.S. Olympian Jamel Herring (14-0,
8 KOs) taking on Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-2, 17 KOs) in a
lightweight 10-rounder.
Martin (11-0, 5 KOs) will face Rossemberth Gomez (17-4-1, 13 Kos) in an eight-round welterweight clash. Williams (10-0, 5 KOs), a 2008 U.S. Olympian, will take on Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-2-2, 3 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round lightweight skirmish. Meanwhile, Clark (8-0, 5 KOs) will meet Elvin Perez (28-12-4, 19 KOs) over six rounds at welterweight.
The undercard will see David Gonzales (6-0-2, 1 KO) battling Justin Johnson (6-10-4) in a six-round super lightweight fight; Bienvenido Diaz (2-1, 2 KOs) against Joseph Serrano in a four-round lightweight contest; Sultah Staton in a six-round super lightweight bout; Jordan "Shortdog" White in a four round featherweight bout against Manuel Rubalcava; and Santario Martin battling Darryl Bunting in a four-round middleweight attraction.
