The 32-year-old Team Renegade standout last suited up at UFC 296, where he laid claim to a unanimous decision over Colby Covington on Dec. 16. Edwards’ title reign has now surpassed the 700-day mark. Muhammad, meanwhile, finds himself on a five-fight winning streak. The 36-year-old Roufusport export may need to shake off some rust, as he has not competed since he took a five-round unanimous decision from Gilbert Burns at UFC 288 on May 6, 2023.
